One of my initial assignments for Kerbal Space Program 2 was to 3D model the heads of the iconic characters from the game. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on the hairstyles of Jebediah and Valentina Kerman, the main characters in the game.
Additionally to hairstyles, I also had the chance to produce multiple 3D models for facial hair, further enhancing the customization options for these charming characters!
To create textures for the hairstyles and facial hairs, I designed a procedural smart material in Substance Painter. This smart material automatically enhances the shape and edges of the individual hair strands.
